Partner and Chair of the firm’s Communications Law Practice Group, specializing in telecom, radiocom and broadcasting law. Represents a wide variety of carriers, resellers, mobile wireless providers, fixed wireless providers, satellite operators, Internet providers, broadcasting and cable companies, and digital media providers. Involved in several high profile communications industry transactions. Also advises communications industry clients on competition, international trade, and privacy law matters. Frequent speaker at industry events. Formerly the Director of Regulatory Matters and Legal Counsel at AT&T Canada Corp. Also worked at Telesat Canada, the former Federal Department of Communications and the Canadian Film Institute. Received BA in Communications from Carleton University, LLB from McGill University and a Masters degree in Communications Management from the University of Southern California. Governor-in-Council appointee to the Government of Canada’s sector advisory group on international trade for the information and communications technologies sectors. Past Chair of the CBA’s Media and Communications Law section. Adjunct Professor, Faculty of Law, University of Ottawa. Recipient of the Jeanne Sauvé Award in Communications. Admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1991.
