Laurent Nahmiash is a member of the board of the Montréal office and co-Chair of the Canadian Class Action Practice Group. His practice primarily consists of class action defence work, as well as commercial and insurance litigation. Laurent currently represents numerous automotive and other manufacturers and finance companies in various consumer protection and product liability class actions. As well, he is currently involved in various anti-trust, securities, auditor and D&O class actions. He has successfully defended various pharmaceutical class actions and been retained to defend multiple class actions involving pension surplus, entitlement disputes, contribution holidays and alleged breaches of fiduciary duties by pension trustees. Laurent has amassed considerable commercial litigation and arbitration experience and has been involved in a number of cross-border and offshore trust/captive reinsurance lawsuits. He has also successfully defended various high-technology and e-commerce cases.
