Chuck Willms is the chair of Fasken Martineau’s Aboriginal Law Group. He has considerable experience in Aboriginal, corporate social responsibility, commercial, constitutional, energy, forestry and mining matters. He has appeared as counsel before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Yukon Supreme Court, Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, Courts of Appeal of British Columbia, Alberta and Yukon, Federal Courts of Canada and the Supreme Court of Canada. He has extensive experience in alternate dispute resolution matters including negotiation, mediation and arbitration. He is a member of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada’s Aboriginal Affairs Committee and the British Columbia Business Council – Aboriginal Affairs Committee. He is consistently ranked by top legal publications as one of the best lawyers in Canada for Aboriginal law. Chuck was called to the BC Bar in 1980, the Yukon Bar in 1983 and the Alberta Bar in 1990.
