Partner. Practice focuses on municipal and environmental law, representing public and private sector clients. Expertise includes official plan, zoning and subdivision approvals where there are disparate public, private and institutional stakeholders. Was instrumental in obtaining approvals for a number of large, multi-phase redevelopments in Toronto. Acted on the site plan approval for the National Tennis Centre and represents the Hospital for Sick Children in its expansion and renovation. Successfully represented the Town of Oakville in a landmark OMB case involving over 7,000 acres of urban land. Has been involved in a number of conversions of industrial lands to residential uses, including the associated soil and ground water issues throughout Ontario, including the Toronto Distillery District in Toronto, the Shipyards Development in Collingwood, and lands on Toronto’s waterfront. Provides environmental advice on corporate transactions. Has also worked on the development and financing of a number of green energy projects. Recognized by Lexpert® for Property Development.
