Has appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada on leading patent and trademark issues and is recognized for proceedings under the Patented Medicines (NOC) Regulations for generic clients. Recognized as the only Canadian “star individual” for IP litigation (since 2010) by Chambers & Partners, he is also ranked a “litigation star” by Benchmark Canada (IP) and by Euromoney as one of the top three Canadian, and top 25 patent lawyers, in the world. The Best Lawyers in Canada named him the “2011 Toronto IP Lawyer of the Year”.
