Partner. Practises corporate law, focusing on corporate finance and public and private M&A. Represents public and private companies, limited partnerships and underwriters. Has structured and implemented many debt and equity financings, including domestic and cross-border public offerings, and has been extensively involved in the development of the Canadian REIT and income fund sector. Represents issuers and underwriters in IPOs and follow-on financings and has acted on a number of income fund conversions and restructurings. Represents participants in public and private M&A transactions including acquisitions and dispositions for private equity sponsors. Appointed by the OSC in 2011 to the Small Business Advisory Committee, which advises on the planning, implementation and communication of the OSC’s review program, as well as policy and rule-making initiatives relevant to small issuers. Served on the OSC’s Continuous Disclosure Advisory Committee (2008–2010). Editor and contributor to Real Property Association of Canada’s Canadian REIT Handbook and is involved in the firm’s CLE and has presented at numerous conferences.
