Michael Weizman is a partner in the Energy Law Group of McCarthy Tétrault LLP in Toronto. He practises in the electricity sector and is particularly active in the financing, development, restructuring and acquisition of independent power projects. In recent years, Mr. Weizman has been particularly active in the development and financing of wind farms, including many of the largest projects in Canada, as well as ground mount and rooftop solar power projects. Mr. Weizman received his BSc and his JD from the University of Toronto. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1982.
