Lead partner in the Labour and Employment Group in Calgary, Shana assists clients with their human resources matters, including advising on OHS compliance; white collar crime and trust thefts; whistleblower matters; transactions; executive employment; privacy compliance, data breach, access requests, and defence of complaints; workplace policies; discipline and dismissal; disability management; workers’ compensation; human rights; and management side unionized workforce issues (response to union organization, discipline, and defence of labour relations grievances). Shana acts as lead investigator in serious workplace investigation matters and provides support and training for clients to conduct their own investigations. She is recognized in Chambers Canada and The Best Lawyers in Canada for Labour and Employment Law and by Lexpert for Employment Law and Workplace Human Rights. Shana is a Director on the Board of Mount Royal University Foundation and the Board Secretary on the Board of Rundle College Society. Shana is a past Alberta Director for CACE, mentor in the Calgary Bar Association program, past Chair of the Canadian Bar Association Labour and Employment South Section, and has been on several occasions a guest lecturer at UCalgary Law School.

On September 1, 2015, Enbridge Inc. announced the closing of the transfer of its Canadian Liquids Pipelines business, comprised primarily of Enbridge Pipelines Inc. and Enbridge Pipelines Athabasca Inc., and certain Canadian renewable energy assets (the Transaction) to an indirect subsidiary of Enbridge Income Fund (the Fund) for $30.4 billion together with certain Incentive/Performance Rights. A joint special committee (the Special Committee) of the Board of Directors of Enbridge Income Fund Holdings Inc. (EIFH) and the Board of Trustees of Enbridge Commercial Trust (ECT) was formed to review and consider the Transaction, conduct due diligence and negotiate the terms of the Transaction on behalf of EIFH, the Fund and ECT.
