Brian W. Gray practises litigation and dispute resolution for patent, copyright, trademark, entertainment, technology and advertising matters. He has appeared before the federal and Ontario courts on such matters. His experience includes parallel imports and grey market trademark cases, copyright infringement, authorship and ownership disputes in the motion picture industry, trial and appeal of patent infringement cases, brand name pharmaceutical patent litigation and notice of compliance cases, inventorship claims and patent disputes in the academic sector and trade secret cases. Brian has advised on transactions in the technology, media, and television and motion picture industries and negotiated technology transfer agreements, patent licences, advertising and media contracts. He has experience drafting patents and patent opinions, patent and trademark portfolio management and counselling. Brian is the former chairman of the International Bar Association committee on intellectual property and entertainment law. Brian has lectured on patent, trademark and copyright law at major Canadian law schools, and is on the Editorial Boards of the AIPLA Quarterly Journal, World Intellectual Property Report and the Federated Press' Intellectual Property Journal.
