Simon Lemay joined the Robic team in early 2017 after more than 20 years as an IP specialist in a large Québec Law firm. He also worked as an in-house counsel for five years at the beginning of his career. Simon specializes in all area of trademark law including legal opinion on new marks, trademark litigation, trademark opposition, trademark prosecution and management and protection of large and small trademark portfolios. Simon represents Canadian clients as well as clients from abroad and has been involved in multi-jurisdiction litigation. Simon is a trained food scientist and his expertise is also used by clients for labeling law, including labeling of consumer goods, food, beverages and alcoholic beverages. Simon has also developed an expertise for publicity contest to be held in the province of Québec or throughout Canada. He often writes and gives lectures on intellectual property subjects for the Bar of the Province of Québec. Simon also teaches intellectual property law at the Master’s Degree level at Laval University in Québec City.
