Partner in the Real Estate and Energy Groups with experience in commercial real estate financing, structuring and developing new projects, investments in the hospitality industry, commercial leasing, land and easement acquisition, permitting, contract negotiation (construction, power purchase, energy savings, operating and fuel supply contracts). Acts for developers and lenders on hydroelectric, biomass, waste and gas-fired generation and co-generation plants, as well as solar and wind powered renewable projects. Co-winner of CREW 2005 Networking Award for the purchase and financing of Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto; part of the lenders’ legal team on the financing of the Invenergy Sarnia power plant which won the 2007 Euromoney project finance transaction of the year; acted for Hines REIT on the sale of the Atrium on Bay shopping centre in 2011 which as nominated for the NAIOP Investment Deal of the Year Award. She has participated as a speaker and panellist at conferences on energy and real estate related matters.
