Wendy Baker is a Partner in the Litigation group in the Vancouver office. She practices general commercial litigation and is the co-chair of the Miller Thomson Agribusiness Law Group. She has an active regulatory practice, representing farmers and processors in disputes with regulatory agencies including the BC Hatching Egg Commission, the BC Egg Marketing Board, the BC Chicken Board, the BC Milk Marketing Board, the BC Farm Industry Board, the Chicken Farmers of Canada, and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. Specific issues have included the scope of regulatory powers, competition, food safety, interprovincial and international trade, and commodity price setting.
