Leitch Technology Corporation (Leitch) announced on June 19, 2000, that it had agreed to issue 2 million common shares at $26.40 per share, representing an aggregate amount of issue of $52.8 million in a bought deal, involving BMO Nesbitt Burns, Yorkton Securities and National Bank Financial. The deal includes a public offering of common shares in Canada and a private placement in the US.
Torys is acting for Leitch with a team that includes Kevin Morris, John Emanoilidis, Nancy Zettler and Ray Archer in Toronto, and Andy Beck and Linda Eliopulos in New York. Salil Munjal (who recently moved from Torys to Leitch) is handling the transaction in-house at Leitch. Lang Michener acted for the underwriters with a team led by Philippe Tardif, with assistance from Martha Rafuse.
