Sherritt International Corporation completed a $100 million public offering of restricted voting shares on May 16, 2003, with a 10 per cent over-allotment option remaining open for 30 days thereafter. The offering was managed by a syndicate of underwriters led by National Bank Financial Inc., co-led by Paradigm Capital Inc. and Griffiths McBurney & Partners, and including Peters & Co. Limited and Salman Partners Inc.
Sherritt International was represented by in-house counsel Sam Ingram and Abraham Rubinfeld, and by Torys LLP with a team that included Geoff Creighton, Matt Cockburn, Michael Pickersgill and Rima Ramchandani. The underwriters were represented by Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP, with a team that included John Sabine, Michael Melanson, Sander Grieve, Brad Kruger and David Hanick.
