Martin is a partner of the firm's Technology and IP Practice Group and leads Bennett Jones' anti-spam and e-commerce practice areas. His practice is focused on local and cross-border matters in intellectual property, data protection, and technology law, including patent, copyright, and trademark matters, as well as matters of intellectual property, data, and IT transactions, IP commercialization, IP and IT strategy and opinions, anti-spam, data protection, privacy, e-commerce, cyber security, breach response, licenses, procurement, M&A, and technology transfers. He advises clients in many industries including energy, electronic commerce, software, telecommunications, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and entertainment. Martin is national Co-Director of Osgoode Hall Law School's Intellectual Property LLM program and teaches in the IP and Business Law LLM programs. He also teaches a cyber-security law course at Concordia University of Edmonton. He has written over 450 books and publications on IP Law, Internet Law, and other related topics.
