McCarthy Tétrault represented Golden Credit Card Trust and The Royal Bank of Canada in the July, 1999 $1.1 bn. public offering of medium term (credit card receivable-backed) notes, the first such offering of notes backed by credit card receivables of a Canadian chartered bank. The McCarthys team was led by F. Gordon Thompson. RBC Dominion Securities, the underwriters, were represented by Holly Robertson, James Scarlett and Sean Farrell, all of McMillan Binch.
