Brookfield Completes US$500 Million Offering Of Senior Unsecured Notes

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (Brookfield) completed its previously announced public offering of US$500 million aggregate principal amount of 4 per cent senior unsecured notes with a January 2025 maturity.

The notes were offered through a syndicate of underwriters co-led by Citigroup Global Markets Inc. and Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC and included Banco Bradesco BBI S.A., BNP Paribas Securities Corp., Itau BBA USA Securities, Inc., Mitsubishi UFJ Securities (USA), Inc., Mizuho Securities USA Inc. and SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc.

Brookfield was represented by an in-house team including A.J. Silber and Simon Chernin. Mile Kurta, Adam Armstrong, Jonathan Cescon, Erin Wiley, David Forrester and Mark Fitzgerald (corporate and securities) from Torys LLP provided external support.

The underwriters were represented in the United States by Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP with a team that included Christopher Morgan, Lyndsey Kiser and Colin Brown; and in Canada by Goodmans LLP with a team that included Lawrence Chernin, Bill Gorman and Annabelle Gardère (corporate and securities) and Maureen Berry (tax).
