On April 25, 2001, Calpine Canada Energy Finance ULC completed a US$1.5 billion issuance of 8 1/2 per cent senior notes due May 1, 2008 guaranteed by its US parent corporation, Calpine Corporation. The underwriters were Credit Suisse First Boston, Scotia Capital, TD Securities and Banc of America Securities LLC.
