Cossette Communication Group Buys Koo Creative Group of Vancouver

On May 9, 2000, Cossette Communication Group Inc. (Cossette) acquired Vancouver-based Koo Creative Group Inc. (Koo Creative) to strengthen its position as one of Vancouver’s largest communications firms. Cossette, which was established in 1972 and is based in Quebec City, opened its Vancouver office in 1985. Last year’s gross earnings totalled approximately $94 million. Koo Creative, a Vancouver-based graphic design company founded in 1982, is one of the largest in the province and brings with it such blue-chip clients as Canada Post, Concord Pacific Developments, TD Canada Trust, TD Waterhouse and Petro-Canada. Koo Creative has also been one of the top providers of graphic design to Vancouver’s Asian community. Following the acquisition, Koo Creative will be relocating to Cossette’s Yaletown offices in Vancouver, bringing the total number of staff in Vancouver to approximately 120.
