In Toronto, David Leonard was appointed CEO of McCarthy Tétrault, following outgoing CEO Marc-André Blanchard’s appointment as Ambassador of Canada to the United Nations. Leonard has spent his entire career with the firm — joining as an associate in 1994, and most recently serving as the firm’s national litigation practice group leader. In his new role, he will oversee more than 550 lawyers and the operations of all six offices in Canada and the UK.
