Deka-ImmobilienGlobal acquires Stantec Tower in Edmonton, Alberta

On September 24, 2019, Deka-ImmobilienGlobal (“Deka”), a German open-ended real estate fund acting through its subsidiary D-IG Edmonton Lux S.a r.l., completed the acquisition of Stantec Tower in Edmonton, Alberta from EAD Property Holdings (102) Corp., Katz Group Properties Inc. and WAM EAD GP Inc.

Stantec Tower consists of a two-storey retail podium and twenty-seven floors of office space located within the “ICE District”, a multi-stage and mixed-use strata development in downtown Edmonton located adjacent to the Rogers Place Arena.  Its acquisition is a major real estate transaction for Canada and a significant development for Edmonton in particular.
