Deutsche Telekom AG Completes US$14B Public Offering

On June 21, 2000, Deutsche Telekom AG, the largest provider of telecommunications services in Germany and one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies, completed a global offering of approximately US$14 billion in the form of shares and American depositary shares. The offering was extended to retail investors in fifteen European countries, the United States, Canada and Japan, and to institutional investors around the world. The Canadian offering was underwritten by TD Securities, Goldman Sachs Canada Inc. and Merrill Lynch Canada Inc. with Canadian retail demand exceeding US$100 million.
