JDA Software Group Acquires i2 Technologies

JDA Software Group, Inc. completed on January 28, 2010, the acquisition of i2 Technologies, Inc., a company listed on Nasdaq, in a transaction valued at approximately US$604 million. As at the end of December 31, 2009, JDA reported revenues of almost US$400 million. JDA is also listed on Nasdaq and is one of the world's most comprehensive providers of innovative supply chain management and pricing solutions. With its acquisition of i2, JDA will be serving a combined customer base of more than 6,000 companies of all sizes in the process and discrete manufacturing, wholesale distribution, retail and services industries.

DLA Piper LLP (US) acted as JDA's legal counsel in the US. The acquisition and related registration process was led by Steven Pidgeon, David Lewis, Jeffrey DeBruin and David Pendergast, and by Richard Millard. The acquisition team was assisted by William Hoffman with respect to equity and benefits matters; David Plewa, Michael Lebovitz and Steve Weerts with respect to tax matters; and Paolo Morante and Laura Kam with respect to anti-trust matters. In Canada, JDA was represented by a Stikeman Elliott LLP team that included John Leopold, Jean Farley, Hadrien Montagne and Marie-Aude Gagnon-Rousseau (corporate); Bruce Pollock and Hélène Bussières (employment) and Michel Legendre (benefits).
