In Ottawa, Peter Doody, formerly the manager of BLG’s Ottawa public law department, was appointed a judge to the Ontario Court of Justice. Justice Doody had a wide-ranging litigation practice which included commercial litigation, public and administrative law, arbitration, Aboriginal law and insurance law. He served as senior commission counsel for the Elliot Lake Commission of Inquiry from 2012 to 2014.
