MEG Energy Corp. completes US$1.2 billion private placement in the U.S. and Canada

On Jan. 31, 2020, MEG Energy Corp. completed an offering of US$1,200,000,000 aggregate principal amount of 7.125% notes due 2027.

The offering was made in the U.S. under Rule 144A and in certain provinces of Canada pursuant to a private placement.

Barclays Capital Inc., BMO Capital Markets Corp. and RBC Capital Markets, LLC were joint book-running managers for the offering, and CIBC World Markets Corp. and AltaCorp Capital Inc. acted as co-managers.
