OMERS to Acquire Oxford Properties Group for $1.5B

On August 21, 2001, BPC Properties Ltd., a related company of OMERS, agreed to make a friendly $1.5 billion takeover bid for all common shares of Oxford Properties Group Inc. Shareholders holding 22 per cent of the company entered into a lock-up agreement in support of the bid.

The team was comprised of Jean-Paul Bisnaire, Vincent Mercier, Warren Katz and Paul Beauregard (corporate), Scott Hyman (financing), David Smith, Stephen Ruby and Siobhan Monaghan (tax) and Paul Crampton, Lori Cornwall, Anita Banicevic and Simon Lockie (competition).
