In Ottawa, the Honourable Madam Justice Suzanne Côté was sworn-in as a judge of the Supreme Court of Canada, having been appointed from Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP in Montreal. Côté fills the seat previously occupied by Justice Louis LeBel who retired last year. She is the first woman from private practice to be directly appointed to the Court.
