Sean Smyth of McCarthy Tétrault was appointed Queen’s Counsel
Sean Smyth was appointed Queen’s Counsel in January for his “outstanding contribution to the legal profession.” Smyth is McCarthy Tétrault LLP’s regional managing partner of Alberta and a veteran litigator who has appeared before all levels of courts, along with a variety of tribunals. He recently acted for Enbridge on its transfer of Canadian liquid pipelines business and renewable energy assets to Enbridge Income Fund. He is married to fellow McCarthy Tétrault litigator Kara Smyth.
