SITQ Sells 202 University

SITQ Immobilier, a subsidiary of Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, sold for an undisclosed amount, the 2020 University Street in Montreal to a corporation held by the Canderel 2020 Trust and the Aloe Investments Holding Trust. The deal closed on September 12, 2002. GMAC Commercial Mortgage of Canada Limited financed the acquisition.

The purchasers were represented by Michael Garonce, Philipp Duffy and Judie Jokinen of Mendelsohn in Montreal, and by Elias Benhamou, Brian Salpeter, and Rhonda Rudick (tax) of Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP. SITQ Immobilier was represented in-house by Rémi Gagnon, vice-president, and Hélène Lafond, legal affairs; and by Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP in Montreal with a team composed of Lise Rochette, Katherine Tremblay and Daniel Martin (real estate).
