Sobeys Purchases Shell Retail Gas Locations in Québec and Atlantic Canada

Shell Canada Products closed the sale of 236 Shell-branded retail stations and convenience food stores in Québec and the Maritimes to Sobeys. The purchase price was undisclosed.

The Purchaser was represented by Stewart McKelvey, with a team which included Jim Dickson, Deanne MacLeod and Paul Festeryga. The team also included Sobeys lawyers Chantal Stachtchenko and Marie-France Paré, and local counsel in Québec, Gowling Lafleur Henderson LLP, with a team composed of Joëlle Boisvert, Laurent Roy, Christian Drapeau, Daniel Lacelle, Paul Granda, Olivier Therrien and Nicolas Dubé.

Shell was represented by its internal legal team of John Courtright, Gordon McCue, Louise-Marie Bélanger, Kari Becker, Linda Howey and Tom Booth. They were assisted by a McCarthy Tétrault LLP team composed of James Papadimitriou, Michel Gagné, Don Houston, Annie Gagnon-Larocque, Charles Flicker, Marie-Josée Marcoux, Mira Gauvin and Dominique Amyot-Bilodeau.
