Teachers' Completes $362M Secondary Bought Deal Public Offering of Maple Leaf Foods Common Shares

On December 16, 2010, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board (“Teachers'”) completed a secondary public offering of 34,513,155 common shares of Maple Leaf Foods Inc. (“Maple Leaf”) for $10.50 per share. Teachers' raised gross proceeds of approximately $362 million under the offering. As a result of the closing of the public offering, Teachers' disposed of its entire interest in Maple Leaf. The common shares were sold by way of a bought deal through BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. and TD Securities Inc.
