Terrawinds Receives $247M in Credit Facilities for Turbine Supply and Project Construction

On June 1, 2007, Terrawinds Resources Corp., received $247 million in credit facilities from HSH Nordbank, AG, New York Branch (HSHN), to fund the company's acquisition of all the remaining and required turbines, and its initial phase of construction of a 171MW wind energy project located in Rivière-du-Loup, Quebec.

Terrawinds Resources was represented by Kerry Adler, president and CEO, and David Bacon, CFO, in conjunction with a Bennett Jones LLP team comprised of Barry Reiter, Dan Ford, Steve Lutz, Christina O'Donnell (corporate) and Jason Vincze (tax).

McCarthy Tétrault LLP acted as Quebec counsel for Terrawinds Resources, with a team comprised of Marc Dorion, Kim Thomassin, Scott Diamond and Richard O'Doherty. Steve Khadavi of Dorsey & Whitney in New York acted as US counsel for Terrawinds Resources.

HSHN was represented by Tom Emmons, Rohan Singh and Hee Soo Yoon, along with a Shearman & Sterling LLP team comprised of Patricia Hammes and Michael Cordera.
