Andrew Stewart joins Thompson Dorfman Sweatman LLP as an associate. Prior to practising law, Stewart worked for the department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. In this capacity, he was part of a team charged with creating the Express Entry Program, the largest immigration program in Canada. Over the course of four years, he developed the legal framework for the program, led employer outreach, and subsequently acted as Manager of the program’s implementation. He recently transferred to Manitoba after articling at a national firm and being called to the bar in Ontario in 2018.
