Tourmaline Oil closes $280M offering

On April 5, 2016, Tourmaline Oil Corp. (Tourmaline) completed a public offering of 10,350,000 common shares at a price of $27.11 per share for gross proceeds to Tourmaline of $280,588,500, which included the full exercise of an over-allotment option granted to the underwriters.

The offering was completed pursuant a short form prospectus through a syndicate of underwriters led by Peters & Co. Limited, and included FirstEnergy Capital Corp., Scotia Capital Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., CIBC World Markets Inc., RBC Dominion Securities Inc., TD Securities Inc., BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. and Raymond James Ltd.

Tourmaline was represented in Canada by corporate counsel Scott Kirker and by Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP with a team that included William Maslechko, James Kidd and Jessica Brown. Dan Miller of Dorsey & Whitney LLP provided US securities law advice to Tourmaline.
