TrizecHahn Corp.'s Sale of Office Portfolio Continues

The sale of the majority of TrizecHahn Corp.’s (TrizecHahn) Canadian office portfolio continues. Recently completed transactions include the sale of Calgary Place, a two-tower office complex comprised of approximately 611,501 square feet of rentable area in Calgary, to Oxford Properties Group (Oxford) and a large Canadian institutional investor. In another transaction, TrizecHahn sold the 27-storey CN Tower office building in Edmonton to Tawa Developments (Tawa).

Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP assisted TrizecHahn’s in-house counsel Beth Vogel and Cameron Black in the negotiation and completion of these two transactions. The Davies team included Greg Howard, Kent Beattie, Greg Southam and Rod Davidge.

On the Calgary Place deal, Wayne Whitlock of Bennett Jones LLP acted as local counsel on behalf of TrizecHahn. Assisting Oxford’s in-house counsel Allison Braun and Nancy Prenevost were Barbara McGregor and Sherri Fountain of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP.

On the sale of Edmonton’s CN Tower office building, a team from Bennett Jones LLP comprised of Mark Kortbeek and Carole Hunt acted as local counsel to TrizecHahn. Prathavan Venkatraman of Venkatraman & Associates acted for Tawa.
