Tyco Electronics Sells its Wireless Systems Business to Harris

On May 29, 2009, Tyco Electronics Ltd. completed the sale of its Wireless Systems business to Harris Corporation for approximately US$675 million in cash, subject to final working capital adjustments. Tyco Electronics' Wireless Systems business is a leader in the development of large-scale critical communications systems based on Internet Protocol (IP) technology.

Tyco Electronics is a global provider of engineered electronic components, network solutions, undersea telecommunication systems and specialty products.

Harris is an international communications and information technology company.
