On May 30, 2003, Toronto-based Redcliff Realty Advisors Inc., on behalf of Regina-based Greystone Managed Investments Inc. representing certain Canadian pension funds, purchased 40 University Avenue in Toronto from Oxford Properties Group Inc. Mortgage financing was provided by Sun Life. The value of the deal is $32.25 million.
The purchasers were represented by Ron Goldenberg and Andrea Centa (real estate) and Ken Chun (corporate and pension fund) of Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP. The vendor was represented by Borealis Capital Corporation, Oxford’s in-house counsel Nancy Prenevost, and by Jim Hilton, Stephanie Simmons and Ann McKay of Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP. Sun Life was represented by George Robertson of Bogart Robertson & Chu in Toronto.
