GE Capital Canada Funding Issues $1.15B of MTNs

GE Capital Canada Funding Company issued a total of $1.15 billion of medium term notes in two tranches, $850 million on February 6, 2003, and $300 million on February 28, 2003. All notes are guaranteed by General Electric Capital Corporation. GE issued $850 million of 4.35 per cent notes due February 6, 2006, and an additional $300 million of extendible floating rate notes due February 28, 2005, subject to extension up to February 28, 2008.

The $850 million issue was led by RBC Capital Markets Inc., and included BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., CIBC World Markets Inc., TD Securities Inc. and Scotia Capital Inc. TD Securities acted as sole underwriter on the $300 million issue. For both issues, the dealers were represented by Jamie Davis and Maurice Swan of Stikeman Elliott LLP.
