TreeHouse Foods acquires ConAgra’s private brands business for US$2.7B

On February 1, 2016, TreeHouse Foods, Inc. (TreeHouse) (NYSE: THS) completed its US$2.7 billion acquisition of ConAgra Foods’ (ConAgra) (NYSE: CAG) private brands operations, which was initially announced on November 2, 2015.

TreeHouse is a manufacturer of consumer packaged foods and beverages with over 50 manufacturing facilities across the United States, Canada and Italy.

The company focuses primarily on private label products for both retail grocery and food away from home customers.

ConAgra is one of North America’s leading packaged food companies with recognized brands and private labels found in 99 per cent of America’s households.
