Ms. Stefancic holds her LLB from Université Laval and was admitted to the Québec Bar in 1986. She is currently Vice-President, Corporate and Legal Services & Corporate Secretary with Logistec Corporation. She heads the legal/insurance department and is a Senior Management member since 1997. She began her career practising at Lafleur Brown (now Gowlings) followed by Martineau Walker (now Fasken). Ms. Stefancic was also a professor at the Québec Bar School for four years teaching Business Law. She has founded several non-profit foundations registered as charitable organizations for hospitals and educational institutions in Québec. She also assisted the Québec 2002 Winter Games Corporation as International Vice-President. Ms. Stefancic has published some 30 articles and delivered television interviews on various topics. She has also contributed over the years as a member of fund-raising committees in the Greater Montreal area. Her practice focuses mainly in the corporate, commercial, and insurance fields, as well as governance, compliance and regulatory matters. Ms. Stefancic is a member of the Québec Bar, Canadian Bar Association, Italian Chamber of Commerce of Canada (having sat on its Board and Executive Committee for four years), the Association des secrétaires et chefs de contentieux du Québec (past President), and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, of which she sat on the National board for six years and is President of the Québec Branch.
