Nancy E. Claridge was called to the Ontario Bar in 2006 and joined Carters Professional Corporation, becoming a partner in 2012. She practises in the areas of corporate and commercial law, anti-terrorism law, real estate law, commercial leasing, charity and not-for-profit law, and wills and estates, and is assistant editor of the firm’s publications. She is President of the Dufferin County Law Association and a member of the CBA and OBA. Nancy graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2005, where she received the Dean’s Gold Key Award and the Legal & Literary Society’s Student Honour Award. While at Osgoode Hall, she was a Senior Editor of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal, was Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper Obiter Dicta, and participated in the Innocence Project. Nancy obtained a BA (Hons.) and an MA in political science from York University. Prior to attending Osgoode Hall, Nancy spent several years developing online Canadian legal research databases for LexisNexis Canada, including the creation of a Canadian citations database for Shepard’s. In the community, Nancy is a Director with the Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival, on the Executive Committee of the Greater Dufferin Area Estate Planning Council, and on the Upper Grand District School Board Compliance Audit Committee.
