Norm Keith's practice involves employment, regulatory and white collar defence and government investigations litigation. He also has an advisory practice in enterprise risk management and compliance. His Labour, Employment and Human Rights (“LEHR”) practice involves executive compensation, employment contracts, policy development and review, employee discipline and workers compensation. He represents employers in LEHR litigation including wrongful dismissal, workplace fraud, whistle-blower cases, human rights violations, labour arbitrations, and fiduciary duty matters. Norm is the leading Occupational Health & Safety lawyer and author in Canada. Norm was the first lawyer in Canada to achieve the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (“CRSP”) designation and helped develop and teach the Global Safety Risk Management certificate course for the American Society of Safety Engineers. During his career he has appeared at all levels of courts up to and including the Supreme Court of Canada. He has made submissions on behalf of employers’ associations to the House of Commons Committee Standing Committee on Health regarding the workplace safety effects of the legalization of Cannabis. He has successfully represented clients in over 1,000 regulatory, civil and criminal matters.
