Pam Vermeersch is managing partner of Gowling WLG’s Hamilton office. Her practice covers all aspects of corporate and commercial law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and franchising. Pam has extensive experience in a wide variety of matters, including acting for private and institutional purchasers and vendors in share and asset transfers; advising international clients on how to manage the Canadian aspects of cross-border mergers and acquisitions; negotiating supply, distribution and other commercial agreements on behalf of large manufacturers; and advising multinational organizations on corporate governance matters relating to their Canadian subsidiary. She has also advised domestic and foreign franchisors on all aspects of their franchise and distribution system, from the establishment of the system to their ongoing operations throughout Canada. Pam was seconded to a major multinational manufacturing company where she managed various corporate restructurings on behalf of that company and gained valuable insight into the issues facing companies engaged in international commerce.
