John Bromley, QC, practises primarily in the area of maritime law. He has experience in all levels of courts in British Columbia as well as the Federal Court, Federal Court of Appeal and Supreme Court of Canada. Mr. Bromley has been counsel in numerous mediations and arbitrations, and has acted as an arbitrator. Mr. Bromley advises on Charter parties and contracts of affreightment. His long experience in the maritime field enables him to give prompt, practical advice on maritime law issues. He has acted for marine insurers from all over the world as well as many of the P&I clubs. He also represents clients in the marine industry. Mr. Bromley has served as chair of the maritime section of the BC Branch of the CBA and also served on the executive of the MIABC. He also was chair of the Canadian Diabetes Association from 2000 to 2002. Mr. Bromley was appointed a Queen’s Counsel in 2018.
