Doug advises public and private companies on M&A, capital markets and corporate/governance matters. His M&A experience includes takeover bids, arrangements, private acquisitions and divestitures, privatizations and restructurings. His capital markets experience includes domestic and cross-border public and private offerings of equity and debt, initial public offerings and other securities offerings and monetizations. He has acted for companies, boards of directors/trustees, special committees, and financial advisors in a number of industries, including the real estate, financial services, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, and media industries. Doug has lectured on securities law, M&A, and corporate governance matters at universities and private conferences. Doug is a former member of the Securities Advisory Committee to the Ontario Securities Commission.
