Richard is the co-head of the firm's litigation department and has a practice focused on corporate and commercial litigation and public law issues. He has comprehensive and extensive trial and appellate experience, having appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, the Federal Court of Canada, Supreme Court of Canada and an array of administrative and arbitral tribunals. Richard's practice specialties include corporate disputes, shareholder oppression issues, commercial disputes, restructurings, injunctions, arbitrations, professional negligence, economic torts, professional discipline, estates litigation and administrative and constitutional law. Richard is an Adjunct Professor at Osgoode Hall Law School, teaching Advanced Commercial Litigation. He is a member of the American Bar Association and The Advocates' Society and was also a former director and committee chair of The Advocates' Society. Richard is regularly recognized by widely accredited legal directories, including Lexpert®, Chambers & Partners, Benchmark and many more as a leading dispute resolution lawyer.
