Jeff has practised exclusively in the area of pensions, benefits and executive compensation for over 18 years. Jeff's practice involves all aspects of the taxation, implementation, funding, administration and wind-up of pension, group benefit and profit-sharing arrangements, including the taxation of deferred compensation. He has extensive experience advising clients in respect to pension, tax, trust and benefit issues arising in connection with corporate transactions, insolvencies, surplus and contribution holiday disputes, ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements, and the development and documentation of pension and employee benefit plans. His practice also focuses on pension governance, investment, fiduciary and legal compliance matters. Jeff's clients include public- and private-sector pension plan sponsors and administrators, as well as a wide range of financial institutions and service providers. He is a co-Chair of the Osgoode Certificate in Pensions Law Course and a member of the editorial board of Pension Planning Journal, a Federated Press publication. Jeff is also a member of the Steering Committee for the 2015 Northwind Professional Institute Pension Fund Forum.
