Davit advises on all aspects of Canadian competition and foreign investment review law, including merger transactions, criminal and cartel investigations, abuse of dominance and misleading advertising cases. He has acted as counsel for private parties and the Commissioner of Competition in numerous proceedings before the Canadian Competition Tribunal and in class actions and other complex, civil and criminal competition litigation matters at all levels of court in Canada, including the Supreme Court of Canada. Davit is co-lead counsel for Loblaw Companies Limited, George Weston Limited and certain of their affiliates in respect of both the Competition Bureau’s ongoing bread price fixing investigation and the related class action litigation. He is the Chair of the Antitrust Law Committee of the ABA Business Law Section and the First Vice Chair of the Criminal Matters Committee of the CBA National Competition Law Section.
