Roger’s practice is restricted to civil litigation, with a focus on insurance-related litigation. He represents the interests of insurers, businesses and individuals in diverse claims including injury, property and products liability claims, as well as subrogated claims, construction disputes and business disputes. Roger worked as an engineer before going to law school and has been licensed as a Professional Engineer since 1988. He was called to the Bar in 1993. He articled in and worked for one year in Toronto. He joined Carroll Heyd Chown LLP in Barrie in 1994, and has been a partner since 2000. Roger’s professional affiliations include The Advocates' Society (Director 2008–2011; co-Chair of Personal Injury and Insurance Practice Group, 2013–2015), Canadian Defence Lawyers (Director 2018-), CBA, OBA, Simcoe County Law Association, Professional Engineers Ontario, Ontario Society of Engineers and the Insurance Institute of Ontario (Georgian Bay Chapter Councillor, 2004–2010).
