Bill is a partner in the Dispute Resolution practice. He acts on complex commercial litigation and arbitration relating to M&A, commercial disputes, fraud claims and Mareva-type injunctions, and shareholder remedies for a wide range of clients, including leading Canadian and foreign corporations and government entities. He has decades of experience before the Québec Superior Court, the Québec Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada, and has acted as counsel or as an arbitrator in numerous significant commercial arbitrations. Bill is a frequent speaker and author on corporate law, shareholder remedies, and fraud claims and remedies. In his spare time, Bill is a photographer and an author (Portraits of Hope, Les Presses de l’Université de Montréal), a founder of the Maryse and William Brock Chair in Applied Research into Stem Cell Transplants, and a director of CellCAN Regenerative Medicine and Cell Therapy Network. He received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and was also named a Lawyer Emeritus by the Québec Bar.
